Dear Blog,
Sorry it's been so long since I've written an entry. No excuse, really.
Merry Christmas. Tomorrow is Christmas day, and as Tiny Tim would have it, "Hoorah for Christmas, the best day of the year!" Amen, Tim! There is no snow...forecast: Sunday, December 25: rainy and 55. I love everything about VA but the weather....bloody swampland.
I confess I've avoided you, blog, because I'm intimidated by you and all the clever things I wish to say leak mysteriously out of my brain whenever I sit down to write in you. What is it that makes me so?
This fall, I have gotten up, worked, and slept. Well that's not entirely true, I've done a few enjoyable things--got to participate in 2 weddings which was lovely and Handel's Messiah, which is always heavenly. But post-college is a rather peaceful and predictable routine, unlike college, a place of perpetual surprise and terror and self-loathing...if your study habits were as bad as mine in college you'd similarly find it to be such a place.
I am about to celebrate Christmas once again, and this year my goal is to, in all things, be thankful.
Blessings to all who haven't given up on my blog--Happy, happy Christmas!
