Can anyone tell me why the major phone companies haven't raised a huge stink about Skype yet?

I think it's because skype is not in widespread use quite yet. I read on Foxnews.com that there are only 75 million users
currently.
It's a large number in absolute terms, but is only a small fraction of the potential world market.
Point taken...Matt also said last night at homegroup that the major phone companies so far are endorsing Skype and the AOL program because they are hoping to jump on the bandwagon to get people to sign up with them.
